The Windclub François Guy its a watersports center located on the island of Boavista in the Cape Verde arquipelago.
Our center is runned by a local family of watersports lovers. We offer diferents activities so you can spend more time at the ocean enjoying the best condition that the island have to offer you. A mytical place where your best sessions and unforgettables sunsets will make the most of your dream holiday.

Our center its the first and best located watersports center on Boavista. We offer diferents activities so no mather how the conditions are you will always find some stoke on your sessions. Our center is equiped whit professional equipement and a friendly highly qualified team to assist your progression and your safety on the water.
We provide Lessons for all levels and whants, Equipements rentals, Storage & Rescue and Guided trips around the best spots of the island.
OUR ACTIVITIES
THE SPOT
Our center is located in estoril beach, 5 minuts walking away from the town. We proudly say that we have one of the best location in the bay of Sal Rei.
This bay its a magical playground for any watersports lover. The constante Trade winds blowing from east/nordeast from november until may turn this place a paradise for windsurfers, kitesurfers, wingfoilers, surfers . The wind blows off/sideoff and u can find here diferents wavespots for everylevels all inside of the bay, ass well as flat clear water for beguiners and freeriders.
ABOUT BOAVISTA
WIND & WEATHER FORECAST
The trade winds are very reliable, from early november to late may it blows around 15 to 30 knots coming from east/northeast and it blows off/sideoff over the bay of Sal Rei. The wind blows offshore from east on the firts months of the seasson, and more side/sideoff from february to the end of the seasson. . from december to mid march frequently we have northwest swells that make good waves all over the bay for thosse that love some good wave riding.
And during the summer its very calm, not much wind and waves so its good for thosse that whants to chill or a calm scenic padel, sailing, snorkeling, fishing surfing to the southside of the island, or just enjoying the wanderfull things that the island have to offer u.
Boavista its the third largest island in the Cape Verde arquipelago. Boavista is about 620km², surounded by a Crystal clear water and blessed by vast stretches of untouched white sand, colors of the nature, the happy faces and welcoming peolple its a truly paradise. A favorabel clima for a relaxed and lowkey atmosphere.
Boavista its also well known for its good food, friendly e relaxed people and good music.
OUR HISTORY
The Windclub was founded in 1994 by the windsurf Legend François Guy. Windsurf Champion and watersport Pioner in Cape verde, François found in this litle paradise the perfect setup to build the Nautic center of hes dreams...
in 2020 Sean Guy & family decide to continue the Legacy, showing the true spirit of the place, and sharing our passion for the ocean and this paradise called Boavista.
So to share our honor and gratitude we change the name of the center for Windclub François Guy
